How to Select the Correct Photos for the CTSI Photo Upload Process - Swing SMART Operator

The video below will guide you through the required photographs when installing an Swing SMART operator. You will learn which photos to upload, what each photo must show, and the approval criteria you need to meet:

Step 1: Information to Provide

Before uploading, ensure you have the following details ready:

  • The serial number on the back of the SMART controller.

  • The date of installation.

  • The operator model in use.


Step 2: Photo of the A Value(s)

Upload a clear photo showing the A value(s) of the installed SMART Swing operator.

  • Use a measuring tape to display the measurement.

  • Ensure the value matches the specifications in the installation manual.


Step 3: Photo of the B Value(s)

Upload a clear photo showing the B value(s) of the installed SMART Swing operator.

  • Use a measuring tape to display the measurement.

  • Confirm the value is correct according to the installation manual.


Step 4: Gate in the Closed Position

Upload a photo showing the gate(s) in the closed position with the operators mounted.

Approval Criteria:

  • Operators must be level.

  • For inward-swinging gates:

    • The origin clamp must be no more than a fist away from the gate pin bracket.

    • The operator must be positioned no lower than 125 mm from the floor.


Step 5: Wiring Photo

The final required photo is of the V-Series SMART wall box with the cover removed, clearly showing all wiring.

Approval Criteria:

  • Wiring must be neat and organized.

  • All cables must be secured in the wiring blocks.

  • No loose cables should be visible.
