The video below will guide you through the required photographs when installing an SDO4 SMART operator. You will learn which photos to upload, what each photo must show, and the approval criteria you need to meet:

Step 1: Information to Provide

Before uploading, make sure you have the following details ready:

  • The serial number located on the back of the SMART controller.

  • The installation date.


Step 2: Required Photographs and Approval Criteria

1. Header Bracket Position

  • The photo must clearly show the dimension above the highest arcing point.

  • Sectional door: 0 mm–50 mm above the highest arcing point.

  • Tip-up door: 20 mm–50 mm above the highest arcing point.


2. Towing Bracket Position

  • The towing bracket must be level.

  • Where possible, it should be centered along the garage door’s centre line.


3. Inside View of the Garage

  • The photo must clearly show both the door and the operator.

Approval checks:

  • Sectional door operator: Must be level.

  • Tip-up door operator: Must be angled correctly.

  • The operator must be aligned with the garage door center.
