How to Back up and Restore NOVA Remotes on your Centurion Systems or Centsys SMART operator

Important notes before you can start the process:
  1. This procedure is only for NOVA remotes using the internal NOVA receiver on your Centurion Systems\Centsys Controller
  2. Please note that you cannot back-up remotes specifically, you will need to back-up your entire operators settings and once you enter the restore page you will be able to select certain settings that you would like to restores on your new operator.
  3. In order to perform a back-up and restore you will need a SMART phone with the Centurion Systems\Centsys MyCentsys Pro application installed and a registered user profile. You can download MyCentsys Pro by clicking on this link https://www.centsys.co.za/mycentsys-pro/ 
  4. If you are not setup as an admin on the operator;
    1. On a sliding gate operator you will need to have the override key in order to authenticate yourself and follow the on screen app instructions
    2. On a garage door operator you will need physical access to the operator in order to follow the on screen app instructions
    3. On a swing gate operator, you will need to access the controller via the outdoor enclosure using a flat screw-driver to open the enclosure and follow the on screen app instructions
Backup Procedure:
  1. Open your MyCentsys Pro app on your smart phone
  2. Connect to the operator that you want to back-up and following the on screen app instructions
  3. Once you are connected to the operator click on the the three dots icon located at the bottom middle of your screen and click on the settings icon on the left
  4. Navigate to the Backup / Restore menu by scrolling down to the bottom of the settings menu
  5. Once you are in the Backup / Restore menu select the "BACKUP" option
  6. Name your Backup with a friendly name that you will remember in the future (i.e. site name and date)
  7. Tap "UPLOAD MY SETTINGS"  and ensure that the backup procedure is completed successfully before proceeding to the next step.

Restoring Procedure:
  • Once you have acquired your new SMART controller and connected it to your operator.
  • Connect to your operator via the Centurion Systems\Centsys MyCentsys Pro application on your smart phone
  • Once you are connected to the operator tap on the the three dots icon located at the bottom middle of your screen and tap on the settings icon on the left
  • Navigate to the Backup / Restore menu by scrolling down to the bottom of the settings menu
  • Once you are in the Backup / Restore menu select the "RESTORE" option
  • Select the correct backup from which you want to restore your settings from
  • Select the "Remotes"  toggle switch by tapping on the toggle on the right hand side of the screen
  • Once the Remotes toggle goes green tap "RESTORE SELECTED" to start the restoring process
  • Verify that the restoration process is successful and that all remote controls are functioning as expected.
