How to Troubleshoot a CP80 D5 or D3 Gate Motor When the Gate Does Not Run and the Relay does NOT Energise
When you activate the gate motor using a remote or any trigger device, but the gate does not move, consider the following possible causes and solutions:
Possible Causes:
- Still in programming mode
- Safety LED's are active
- Latching input
- Battery condition
Possible Solutions (On-Site Checks):
- Ensure you are out of programming mode. The SET light must be OFF.
- Verify that the LCK (lockout) input is not activated. The green LCK light should be ON.
- Ensure the IRB (IR beams) input is activated (the gate will not close if this input is off). The green IRB light should be ON.
- Make sure the latching input on TRG or FRX is not active. Both TRG and FRX lights must be OFF for the gate to operate.
- Inspect the battery condition using Procedure A: Low battery voltage condition by clicking on the following link: https://support.centsys.co.za/portal/en/kb/articles/how-to-troubleshoot-a-low-battery-voltage-condition-status-light-flashes-3-times-on-the-cp80-d3-or-d5
