Summary

The SMART+ Controller displays real-time diagnostic information under Advanced Wi-Fi Information, allowing technicians and end users to quickly identify where a connectivity issue is occurring: at the router level, the cloud level, or both.


Warning

State 1: Not Connected to Router

Symptoms

Indicators:

  • MAC Address: 00:00:00:00:00
  • IP Address: 0.0.0.0
  • Connected to Cloud: No

AlertPossible Causes

The Operator has not acquired an IP or MAC address, meaning it has failed to join the local Wi-Fi network.

Idea

Troubleshooting Steps

Basic checks:

  1. Confirm the correct Wi-Fi password is being used
  2. Check the Operator is within range of the router
  3. Confirm the router is powered on and broadcasting normally

Additional checks:

  1. If the customer has access to a secondary Wi-Fi source, connect the Operator to this network and test the cloud connection
  2. Have the customer create a mobile hotspot on their cellphone, connect the Operator to the hotspot, and test the cloud connection

Warning

State 2: Connected to Router, Waiting for Cloud Connection

Symptoms

Indicators:

  • Wi-Fi SSID, Signal Quality, MAC Address and IP Address: all valid
  • Connected to Cloud: No

Alert

Possible Causes

The Operator has joined the local network successfully but cannot reach Centurion's cloud servers.

Idea

Troubleshooting Steps

Basic checks:

  1. If the customer has access to a secondary Wi-Fi source, connect the Operator to this network and test the cloud connection
  2. Have the customer create a mobile hotspot on their cellphone, connect the Operator to the hotspot, and test the cloud connection

This is to confirm that there isn't an Internet connection issue on the Router/ISP side.


Warning

State 3: Connected to Router and Cloud

Symptoms

Indicators:

  • Wi-Fi SSID, Signal Quality, MAC Address and IP Address: all valid
  • Connected to Cloud: Yes

Idea

Troubleshooting Steps

This is the fully operational state — no further action required.
