How to Troubleshoot a Rebooting or Blank Screen on an Ultra Device

If the screen of your Ultra device is rebooting or displaying a blank screen, it may be due to low power, no power, low signal, or a faulty Ultra device.

Blank Screen Solutions:

If the screen appears blank, as shown in the image below, please follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue:

Check DC Power on VDC+ and VDC- Terminals on the Main GSM Device:
-If using a 12V power source, the voltage reading on VDC+ and VDC- should be 13V DC.
-If using a 24V power source, the voltage reading on VDC+ and VDC- should be 27V DC.

Troubleshoot Power Issues:
-If you do not get the expected readings on the power terminals, check the power source.
-Inspect for any damaged or loose power wires between the VDC+ and VDC- and the power source

Further Action:
-If you are getting the correct power reading but the issue persists, take the device to your closest CENTURION branch for testing as it might be faulty.

Rebooting Ultra Screen Solutions:

If the device starts up normally, displays the G-Speak Ultra or G-Ultra name with the line moving at the bottom, and then reboots when the line is almost full, the device may not be getting sufficient power. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Check DC Power on VDC+ and VDC- Terminals on the Main GSM Device:
If using a 12V power source, the voltage reading on VDC+ and VDC- should be 13V DC.
If using a 24V power source, the voltage reading on VDC+ and VDC- should be 27V DC.

If the Voltage is Lower Than Expected:
Check the power source.
Check how many auxiliary devices are connected to the controller's 12V output, and if needed, move the Ultra positive to the battery positive.
Ensure correct power selection is done on advanced power settings on Gweb:

Incorrect COM used on the D-series motor:
Should the Ultra device be connected to an D-series controller, then kindly confirm that the negative (VDC-) is wired to COM and not the Safe COM:

Incorrect Network Mode Setting:
The Ultra device screen can reboot if it is not switching from 4G to 2G. Ensure the correct network mode settings have been selected. Refer to the link below for steps on how to check and change the network mode setting:

Low Signal:
The Ultra device screen can reboot when the signal suddenly drops to 0/5.  Kindly refer to the link below for possible causes and solutions for a low signal condition:

On occasions the Device can be formatted with the 3 buttons and will end the boot loop cycle:

Remove Battery power from the device (screen must be blank):

Press and hold all three buttons down while reapplying back power:

Dustbin screen will appear (release buttons)
