How to Set Up SMS Message Activations from G-web - Programming

You can configure a custom SMS message that, when sent to a device, will activate a specific output. This allows remote triggering of actions through a simple text message. Follow the steps below to set this up:

Steps to Configure SMS Message Activation:

  1. Select the Device
    From your device list, click on the name of the device you wish to configure.

  2. Open the Access Profile
    Click on the Access Profile linked to the device:

  3. Click the Activations Icon
    Locate and click the Activations icon next to the profile name:

  4. Open the Messages Tab
    In the activation settings, click on the Messages tab:

  5. Enable an Incoming Activation
    Tick the checkbox next to the desired Incoming activation, then click Edit:

  6. Enter the Custom Message
    In the Message field, type the exact SMS text you want the system to recognize (e.g., “OpenGate”).:

  7. Select the IO to Activate
    Choose the IO (Input/Output) that should be triggered by the SMS message:

  8. Click Update
    Save your configuration by clicking the Update button.

Notes:

  • Ensure that the device has a valid SIM card and is capable of receiving SMS messages.

  • Use unique messages for each activation to avoid conflicts.

  • Test the configuration to confirm the correct output is activated.
