Replacing the batteries in your gate motor is a straightforward process if you follow these steps carefully. Here’s a guide to help you do it safely and correctly:

  1. Disconnect the Power

    • Start by disconnecting the main power supply to the motor. This ensures your safety while working.

  2. Access the Battery Enclosure

    • Use a star screwdriver to unscrew and remove both the top and bottom screws securing the battery enclosure.
    • Gently lift off the top cover to reveal the batteries inside the housing.

  3. Disconnect the Battery Leads

    • Carefully disconnect all leads attached to the batteries. Take note of their positions to ensure correct reconnection later.

  4. Remove the Old Batteries

    • The batteries are secured with double-sided tape. Use a firm, sharp jerking motion to pull them free from the housing.

  5. Install New Batteries

    • Place the replacement batteries into the battery housing. Ensure they are positioned securely.
    • Reconnect the battery leads exactly as they were before. Double-check that the connections are secure and in the correct orientation as shown below:
