How to change the collision sensitivity on the D3 / D5 CP80 board

The collision force determines how much resistance the gate will encounter before stopping or reversing. If the setting is too low, the gate might exert excessive force before stopping, which can be dangerous to people, pets, or objects in its path. By adjusting the collision force, you can make the gate more sensitive to obstacles. This is especially important in environments where children or pets are present, as a high force setting will ensure that the gate stops or reverses upon encountering even slight obstructions.
Configuration and settings:
  • Turn off the power to the controller.
  • Place the set link (jumper) onto the board.
  • Restore power to the controller; the L2 light will turn on.
  • Press and hold the test button until the L1 light flashes 7 times. It will count like this: 1, 12, 123, 1234, 12345, etc., until you reach the desired number of flashes. Then release the button.
  • The L1 light will now flash the number of times corresponding to the value you entered.
  • Next, press and hold the test button until the status light flashes the required number of times, then release it. 1 flash for high, 2 flashes for medium, and 3 flashes for low.
  • Finally, remove the set link (jumper) and test the system.
