Follow these instructions to properly install and configure Photon SMART Beams on your Centurion SMART Gate Motor:
Step 1: Power On the Beams
- Before or after installing the beams, turn on both the TX (transmitter) and RX (receiver) beams by placing the jumper supplied on the ON and middle pin.
- Confirm that both beams display a lit-up LED, indicating they are powered on.
Step 2: Download and Open the MyCentsys Pro App
- If you haven't already, download the MyCentsys Pro app from your phone's app store.
- Open the app and log into your account.
Step 3: Connect to Your Gate Motor
- Once logged in, find your gate motor listed under Available Operators.
- Tap on your motor to connect to it.
Step 4: Access Configuration Settings
- On the overview page, tap the Configure Circle icon located at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Settings from the configuration menu.
Step 5: Enable IR Beam Settings
- From the drop-down list, select IR Beams.
Here, you’ll see options like IRB Closing and IRB Opening:
- IRB Closing prevents the gate from closing if something blocks the beams.
- IRB Opening prevents the gate from opening if something blocks the beams.
- For this guide, we’ll set up IRB Closing. Toggle the IRB Closing switch to the ON position.
Step 6: Set Up Photon Smart Beams
- Ensure you do not assign any I/O if you’re using Photon Smart Beams only and do not have wired beams.
- Tap on Photon Smart to proceed.
- A notification will appear, informing you that adding Photon Smart beams will remove any IRB alarms. Tap Okay to continue.
Step 7: Pair the RX Beam
- The app will prompt you to press the button on the RX beam to allow detection. Press the button on the RX beam.
- Once detected, you’ll have the option to rename the beam for easy identification later on. After renaming, tap Next.
- You’ll be prompted to ensure that the covers are attached and the beams are mounted in place. Once this is confirmed, tap Next to begin the alignment test.
- The app will automatically test the alignment of the beams. Once the alignment passes, you’ll receive a notification and can tap Next to continue.
Step 9: Save and Complete Configuration
- The app will save the configuration and confirm that the setup was successful.
- Tap Finish to exit.
Step 10: Finalize Settings
- If you are done adding beams, return to the main screen by tapping the back arrow at the top of the page.
- Your Photon Smart beams will now appear under the Photon Smart option, fully configured and ready to use.
