Changing Antenna Settings on a G-Ultra

Summary:

The default setting on the G-Ultra is to use the internal antenna. This is suitable for most installations with average to good network coverage.

If the device does not receive commands reliably or takes a long time to send notifications, it may indicate a poor or intermittent network signal. In these cases, connecting and enabling an external antenna may improve reception and overall communication performance.

Process

1. Using the scroll buttons on the G-Ultra, navigate to the Antenna menu.
2. Press Enter to open the antenna settings.
3. Use the arrow keys to toggle between the available antenna options:
   • Internal Antenna
   • External Antenna
4. Press Enter again to save the selected setting.
5. The unit will display a countdown from 5 to 0 along with an hourglass icon to indicate that the antenna change is in progress.
6. Wait for the process to complete before testing signal performance or sending commands to the device.
