Troubleshooting Steps:
Step 1: Ensure that both Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your device.
Step 2: Verify that your Android device is running version 6 or newer, while iOS devices should be on version 13 or above. For iPhone users, it's essential to have an iPhone 6 or a more recent model.
Step 3: Check that your phone's Bluetooth functionality supports BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).
How to Verify BLE Compatibility:
- Open your preferred internet browser, such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
- Type your device's name into the search bar and search for its full specifications.
- Within the specifications, find the "Comms" section.
- Locate the Bluetooth information, which will indicate the version of Bluetooth your device supports.
